وجاء في البيان أنه “في إطار مكافحة الإرهاب وبفضل جهود مصالح الأمن التابعة للجيش الوطني الشعبي، سلم ثلاثة (03) إرهابيين أنفسهم، يوم الجمعة 19 ماي 2023، للسلطات العسكرية بالقطاع العملياتي ببرج باجي مختار بالناحية العسكرية السادسة، ويتعلق الأمر بكل من: الإرهابي “ملوكي حبيب” المكنى “حبيب الله” الذي التحق بالجماعات الإرهابية سنة 2012، والإرهابي “ملوكي سيديا” المكني “أبو مريم” الذي التحق بالجماعات الإرهابية سنة 2012، والإرهابي المسمى “مهري بلخير” الذي التحق بالجماعات الإرهابية سنة 2013″.
وأضاف المصدر أن الإرهابيين الذين كانوا ينشطون ضمن الجماعات الإرهابية في منطقة الساحل كان بحوزتهم ثلاثة (03) مسدسات رشاشة من نوع كلاشينكوف، مسدس (01) آلي عيار 7.65 ملم، قنبلتين (02) دفاعيتين من نوع F1، و 11 مخزن ذخيرة خاصة بمسدس رشاش كلاشينكوف، مخزن ذخيرة (01) خاص بالمسدس الآلي، إضافة الى (295) طلقة من مختلف العيارات و جهاز إرسال واستقبال.
و تأتي هذه العملية –وفق ما تمت الإشارة إليه– لتؤكد “عزم الجيش الوطني الشعبي على مكافحة الإرهاب وكل أشكال الجريمة وكذا الجهود الحثيثة التي تبذلها قواتنا المسلحة في الميدان، من أجل بسط الأمن والسكينة عبر كامل التراب الوطني”.
