اعترف الرئيس الأوكراني فلودومير زيلينسكي بفقدان كييف السيطرة على بلدة أرتيوموفسك (باخموت) ردا على سؤال تلقاه اليوم، عما إذا كانت مدينة باخموت، (التي تسميها روسيا منذ العهد السوفييتي أرتيوموفسك)، لا تزال تحت سيطرة الجيش الأوكراني، على هامش قمة مجموعة السبع في هيروشيما، باليابان.
وجاءت التساؤلات في أوساط المتابعين الغربيين، حول مصير المدينة،بعدما قال رئيس مجموعة “فاغنر” الروسية يفغيني بريغوزين في مقطع فيديو ظهر فيه بـ”زي قتالي” أمام صف من المقاتلين يحملون الأعلام الروسية ولافتات عليها شعارات “فاغنر”: “في 20 ماي 2023 ظهر اليوم (السبت) تمت السيطرة على باخموت بالكامل”.
وذكر بريغوزين أن قواته “ستنسحب من باخموت بدءاً من 25 ماي لنيل قسط من الراحة وإعادة التدريب، على أن تسلم السيطرة عليها للجيش الروسي”، لافتاً إلى “السيطرة الكاملة على المدينة، من منزل إلى منزل”.
وقال بريغوزين إن “عملية السيطرة على باخموت استغرقت 224 يوماً”، مضيفا “فاغنر وحدها كانت هنا”. وتابع “لم نقاتل الجيش الأوكراني فقط في باخموت، بل أيضاً البيروقراطية الروسية التي وضعت لنا العصي في الدواليب”، مكرراً انتقاده لوزير الدفاع الروسي سيرغي شويغو و رئيس الأركان فاليري غيراسيموف.
و سخر بريغوزين من الرئيسين الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي والأميركي جو بايدن اللذين يشاركان في قمة مجموعة الدول السبع باليابان، السبت، وقال مخاطباً زيلينسكي “اليوم عندما ترى بايدن قبِّله على جبينه وأبلغه مني السلام”. وأشارت وكالة “رويترز” إلى إمكانية سماع دوي الانفجارات من مسافات بعيدة خلال حديث بريغوزين في المقطع المصور.

من جهتها ذكرت نائبة وزير الدفاع الأوكراني جانا ماليار على تلغرام أن أوكرانيا “لا تزال تسيطر على بعض المناطق في مدينة باخموت”، لكنها وصفت الوضع بـ”الحرج”. وأضافت “قتال عنيف في باخموت لكن في الوقت نفسه يسيطر مدافعونا على بعض المنشآت الصناعية والبنى التحتية في المنطقة”. و قال الرئيس الأوكراني زيلينسكي من اليابان تعليقا على التطورات العسكرية في المدينة و حولها بعبارة “انتهى كل شيء”.
وهنأ الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، أمس الأحد، مجموعة “فاغنر” العسكرية الخاصة والجيش الروسي على ما وصفه بأنه “تحرير” مدينة باخموت في شرق أوكرانيا، والتي تطلق عليها روسيا اسم أرتيوموفسك و هو الإسم الذي يعود إلى الحقبة السوفييتية.
وفي بيان نُشر على الموقع الإلكتروني للكرملين قال بوتين إن المعركة -وهي الأطول والأكثر دموية في الحرب المستمرة منذ قرابة 15 شهراً- انتهت بانتصار روسي، وإن كل من أبلى فيها بلاء حسناً سيحصل على جوائز من الدولة.
وقال البيان: “هنّأ رئيس الدولة مجموعات (فاغنر) الهجومية، وكذلك جميع أفراد وحدات القوات المسلحة الروسية الذين قدموا الدعم والغطاء اللازمين، على إتمام عملية تحرير أرتيوموفسك (باخموت)”.
وترى روسيا في مدينة باخموت نقطة انطلاق نحو الاستيلاء على بقية منطقة دونباس. وكان عدد سكان المدينة يبلغ نحو 70 ألف نسمة قبل بداية العملية العسكرية الروسية الخاصة في أوكرانيا منذ نحو 15 شهراً.
وعلى مدى الأشهر الستة الماضية، أبقت كييف قواتها في موقف دفاعي، بينما صعّدت موسكو حملتها و أرسلت مئات الآلاف من جنود الاحتياط والقوات الداعمة لهم من قبيل مقاتلي مجموعة “فاغنر”، إلى ساحة أكثر المعارك البرية دموية في أوروبا منذ الحرب العالمية الثانية.
