هاجم الرئيس التونسي قيس سعيد الداعين للتطبيع بين بلاده و الكيان الصهيوني، مستغلين الهجوم الإرهابي على كنيس لغريبة اليهودي في جزيرة جربة، و قال أن تونس أرض التسامح بين مختلف الديانات على مر العصور.
الرئيس قيس سعيد عبر عن الموقف لدى استقباله الأربعاء بقصر قرطاج، لكلّ من سماحة الشيخ هشام بن محمود، مفتي الجمهورية التونسية، والسيّد حاييم بيتان، كبير أحبار اليهود بتونس، والسيّد إيلاريو أنطونيازي، كبير أساقفة الكنيسة الكاثوليكية بتونس. حسب بلاغ لرئاسة الجمهورية التونسية.
وقال الرئيس سعيد في كلمة بالمناسبة، أن العمل الإرهابي الذي استهدف كنيس لغريبة، تم التصدي له بحزم و قوة و القضاء على منفذ الهجوم خلال فترة وجية قبل دخوله المعبد اليهودي، معبرا عن تضامن الدولة التونسية مع كل ضحايا الهجوم، الذي استغله البعض للدعوة للتطبيع مع الكيان الصهيوني، حيث قال الرئيس التونسي أنه ينبغي توضيح الفرق بين الكيان الصهيوني كدولة عنصرية استيطانية، تنتهك حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني، و بين أبناء الطائفة اليهودية، الذين يمارسون شعائرهم الدينية في ظل الاحترام و التسامح.
وقال الرئيس سعيد أن تونس أقوى من كل المصائب التي تحل بها، و أنه سيتم اجتثاث بذور الفرقة بين التونسيين مهما كانت معتقداتهم، و الذين يريدون فرض التطبيع بسفك الدماء، و نحن نفرق بين اليهودية الصهيونية، لتعمل الإنسانية اليوم وفي كل مكان على وضع حد لمأساة الشعب الفلسطيني، ليستعيد حقه في إقامة دولته المستقلة.
